Technical Workshops

Four deep-dive, hands-on workshops running in parallel on Day 1. Choose one track — DNS security, secure VPN, red teaming, or DFIR / Windows forensics — and spend the afternoon learning directly from industry professionals.

Note: All workshops run at the same time (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM). You can only attend one workshop. FAST NUCES Islamabad students attend for FREE; outsiders pay PKR 500 per workshop and register via the workshops form.

Red Teaming

Offensive Security & Real-World Attack Simulation

This workshop focuses on how modern red teams think and operate — from reconnaissance and initial access to privilege escalation and lateral movement. Participants will see how offensive techniques are used to evaluate and improve real-world security posture.

Suleman is a FAST NUCES cybersecurity graduate and Information Security Engineer focused on securing web and mobile applications through penetration testing and AppSec. He is among the few hundred professionals globally who have cleared the CPTS (HackTheBox) and is actively expanding into Active Directory and advanced offensive security.

DFIR / Windows Forensics

Endpoint Forensics, Threat Hunting & Incident Response

A deep-dive into Windows forensics and digital incident response. Participants will learn how to investigate compromised endpoints, trace attacker activity, and apply DFIR methodology to real-world security incidents.

  • Collecting and preserving digital evidence for investigations
  • Timeline building and event reconstruction
  • Threat hunting workflows in modern SOC / blue team environments
  • Using DFIR tooling to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents

Abdullah Bin Yasin (CyberJunkie)

Abdullah “CyberJunkie” Bin Yasin is a Senior Defensive Content Engineer at HackTheBox and DFIR Analyst at ProvenData. He holds certifications including CCD, BTL1, eCTHP, eCDFP, and eJPT. His work focuses on DFIR, SOC, threat intelligence, and building up-to-date blue team content to help practitioners upskill in incident response and threat hunting.
